In the vineyard

Kadette Pinotage Rosè of 2020 was the result of a rather wet and cold winter. The warm temperature during the months of September and October produced rapid and uniform ripening. During the harvest period, the climate remained favorable, relatively warm but without excessive heat waves and cool temperatures at night. The grapes turned out to be very healthy and juicy. The vineyards are cultivated in clayey soils, locally referred to as "Hutton". Vines from 5 to 15 years. The average production was 8 tons / ha.

In the cellar

After the harvest, the grapes are destemmed in a Bucher press immediately after harvesting. The must is dry fermented at a temperature of about 13 ° and then kept on the lees for 3 months, before being bottled.
